Late breaking news from the wonderful world of management.
Ron Gashinski, Manager, Mining Lands, Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, recently mutated into a correctional officer in a Thunder Bay facility.
Mr. Gashinski, anticipating that imminent and indiscriminate assignment of managers by the Provincial Government to “other duties”, took one step forward and volunteered for the TBay posting.
Demonstrating the enlightened self-interest that is the hallmark of OPS management, Mr. Gashinski volunteered to work in the TBay facility to avoid possible relegation to position in a psychiatric facility where he would “have to wipe people’s asses.”
To his credit, Mr. Gashinski remains true-to-form as an individual who might kiss but never wipe the aforementioned part of the anatomy.
Mr. Gashinski will be living at taxpayers expense in the comfortable confines of the Valhalla Inn during his visit to Thunder Bay.
